Just finished some gorgeous new tops and put them in the etsy shop! It is so fun shifting from winter apparel to spring and summer. This is just the beginning of some great things to come. Here are some of my most recent favorites, you can see them all for yourself on etsy!

Unhinged!

Unhinged is a gorgeous, and unique boutique in the heart of Sugarhouse, just a few minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. Corey, the owner of the shop came up with an amazing idea to feature local designers into a new area of the shop, called “The Platform”. Myself, along with 5 other local favorites built our own pop up style shops and together, we all created a one of kind shopping experience for Salt Lake City.

I had so much fun building and designing my shop. With the help of my dad and brother we built some amazing upcycled bicycle rim rounder racks and a huge free standing rack made out of gas pipe on a stained black wood plank platform. My talented friend Kat came up with the record idea for the signage and helped me put it all together – its nice to have creative and talented friends around.

The Platform had it’s official launch party last Friday and is now open to the public. If you aren’t a fan of the big malls in town be sure to stop by for Unhinged at 1121 E 2100 S for a unique and memorable shopping experience!

I’ve been working on some wickedly cute pillow case covers tonight.. they are Halloween themed and have owls, bats, skulls, and ghosts! I love all of the halloween inspiration i’ve seen all over and here are just a few of my favorites.

This pumpkin is amazing! BrettBara tweeted this photo and I am absolutely in love with it. It makes me want to go buy a pumpkin right now even though I would never be able to recreate it as lovely as she did.

Found this on booturtle’s flickr stream. She made it out of things from the dollar store and bouncy eyeballs.

I love tutorials! This one, via Prudent Baby, has gotten me totally itching to make a few. Perfect for those random scraps that I just can’t throw away.. (we all have them, admit it!)

Oh my god these are so cute! I have a few plush owls similiar to these that i’ve received in craft swaps but these little halloween ones are adorable. I think my favorite one is the one with the pumpkin hat. Go check out mqsquare’s blog for more cuteness than you can probably handle!

Craft Lake City 2010

Last saturday i had the pleasure of participating in SLUG magazine’s 2nd annual Craft Lake City! Last year’s event was amazing and i wasn’t sure if it was even possible to have it be better this year – but it was! Over 130+ local alternative artists invaded Gallivan Avenue and offered there handmade wares to the city. I was extremely happy to be a participant this year and it was so fun getting to meet so many people who love what i do! The entire day was a complete success and I love the thought of how many little Sorry Clementine creations will be walking the streets of my hometown. I was so busy meeting new friends and selling my clothing that I didnt get around to taking any pictures, but luckily there were many other photographers out and about and a few of them snagged some shots of a few of my things. Craft Lake City

Last weekend I spent a perfect Saturday at Slug’s first annual “Craft Lake City”. I was juried into the show with 70 other local artists. The weather could not have been more perfect, I was a little worried about the possibility of rain when I first arrived but by the time the event actually started it was sunny and cool.

I shared a booth with my extremely talented sister in law, Sophie. She makes the neatest jewelry, mostly from handcrafted polymer clay beads that she puts a ton of time and detail into. We had a great spot in the center of the Gallivan Center and I couldn’t have asked for a better booth partner!

Chris and Aimee helped me set up my half of the booth fairly quickly, I hung my handmade items on one rack and my screen printed items on a seperate rack. I had three dress forms I used to display my favorite items and a little table that I placed diagonally at the side. I felt pretty good about how my booth looked especially because I had no idea what I was doing.. this was my first attempt at a craft fair!

I had my first sale before the event technically even started and it just kept getting better. It was neat to be able to talk to people in person verses my usual online interaction I get with my customers. It was fun to see their faces when they saw something they really liked and watching them try things on. I’ve never received as many nice compliments in my life – it was very unexpected but made me feel great! All in all it was a complete success, business was great and getting to meet and chat with all of the different people was even better. Can’t wait for next year! Thank you to everyone who helped me prepare for this.. especially Chris and Aimee – couldn’t have done it without them and their endless support. A huge thanks goes out to everyone who stopped by and visited the Sorry Clementine booth too! xoxo
